Cons Korra partnered with MIDEX to upgrade the stainless-steel process piping serving its pharmaceutical manufacturing operations at the AstraZeneca facility in 6th of October City.
The challenge
The AstraZeneca facility needed a hygienic, corrosion-resistant piping network capable of meeting pharmaceutical-grade process requirements, with minimal disruption to ongoing production.
Our approach
MIDEX's engineering team surveyed the existing utilities, designed the stainless-steel routing to GMP hygienic-piping standards, and carried out orbital welding, pressure testing and passivation on site.
Project scope
SS Works. Location: 6th of October City (AstraZeneca facility). Year of implementation: 2024.
Key deliverables
- Detailed piping isometrics and layout drawings
- stainless-steel fabrication and orbital welding
- pressure and leak testing
- passivation and documentation package for QA sign-off
Outcome
A validated, GMP-compliant stainless-steel piping network was commissioned on schedule, giving Cons Korra a reliable process utility backbone at AstraZeneca.
